Home prices, after rising substantially, are now returning to a more normal rate of appreciation.  Housing inventory is up and "Days on the Market" is longer -- trending toward historical norms.  However, interest rates are still near historic lows, so if you're a buyer now is the time to find the home of your dreams.  If you're a seller, don't panic.  The local economy is still very strong.  People need to buy houses.  And prices are stabilizing.   A few things to consider:

-Is a new home a good investment given recent home price appreciation?
-Have you considered alternative financing options and tax advantages?
